Position Summary

The Companion plays an important role in enhancing clients’ quality of life through meaningful interaction, emotional support, and assistance with light daily activities. This position focuses on building relationships and reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities

• Offer emotional support and encouragement

• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation

• Accompany clients on walks, errands, or appointments

• Support clients with hobbies and recreational activities

• Monitor clients’ well-being and report any concerns

• Help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment

• Follow care plans and maintain basic documentation

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving, companionship, or a related role (preferred)

• Compassionate, patient, and friendly personality

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to build trust and rapport with clients

• Reliable and responsible with good time management

• Ability to work independently

• Basic understanding of client safety and well-being

• Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required)
