Position Summary

The Home Support Worker plays a key role in supporting clients with non-medical care needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This position focuses on assisting with everyday tasks while building meaningful relationships with clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation

• Support mobility and safe transfers (as required)

• Accompany clients to appointments or errands (if needed)

• Monitor and report changes in clients’ condition to the care team

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment

• Document care activities and follow care plans

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in home care or a similar role (preferred)

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification or equivalent is an asset

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and responsibly

• Basic knowledge of safety and hygiene practices

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
