We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Foot Care Nurse to provide specialized foot care services, helping clients maintain mobility, comfort, and overall well-being.

Position Summary

The Foot Care Nurse is responsible for assessing and treating a variety of foot and nail conditions, particularly for seniors and individuals with chronic health conditions such as diabetes. This role focuses on preventive care, early intervention, and patient education to promote healthy feet and prevent complications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and advanced foot care, including nail trimming, callus reduction, and skin care

  • Assess foot health and identify potential issues such as infections, ulcers, or circulatory concerns

  • Provide care for clients with diabetes and other high-risk conditions

  • Educate clients and caregivers on proper foot hygiene and preventive care

  • Monitor and document changes in foot health

  • Recommend appropriate footwear and foot care practices

  • Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals when advanced care is required

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with a valid Ontario license

  • Certification or specialized training in foot care (preferred)

  • Experience in foot care, geriatrics, or community/home care is an asset

  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills

  • Excellent communication and client education abilities

  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach

  • Ability to work independently in a home care setting

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
