Position Summary

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides essential hands-on care and assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in helping clients maintain dignity, independence, and comfort in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Provide mobility support, including transfers and repositioning

• Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary

• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties

• Offer companionship and emotional support

• Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition

• Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols

• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

Qualifications & Requirements

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or equivalent

• Previous experience in home care or healthcare (preferred)

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
